Nestled in the rolling hills of southern Erie County, Holland Speedway was founded in 1960 by three racing enthusiasts who turned their shared passion into reality by building their own track. The facility began as a 1/3-mile dirt oval seating about 1,200 spectators before being expanded to 3/8 mile in 1964 and paved in 1968. That same year, Holland received a NASCAR sanction, becoming the only track in the area with that distinction and later hosting major events such as the Whelen Modified and Busch North Series. The track maintained its NASCAR affiliation until 2018, when it was sold to a local owner for one season. In 2019, the Bennett family reacquired the speedway, preserving its long-standing heritage and community ties. Today, Holland Speedway remains committed to offering a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment, continually improving its facilities to enhance the experience for fans, racers, and sponsors alike.
